Vermont Wedding Photographer
Since going freelance full-time a little over a month ago, I've been working on refining my process overall. One area I've been focusing a lot on is initial steps of working with a client on a new identity/branding project. I've been playing around with building out mood boards for each client, which really seems to be helping define the overall look + feel and what direction to pursue. I've always been big on creating boards on Pinterest when I start new projects, but I'm realizing how much it helps to play around with images I've pulled to see what parts of my inspiration feel right together before diving in on the design work.
On this particular project, I'm working with a client I've already created a primary identity for. He reached out to refine the wedding side of his work, which is a standalone business, so it's been fun exploring another side of his brand. His approach to wedding photography is very documentary in style – he shoots a lot with a small film camera, and has a major talent for catching the really honest moments that make someone's wedding day so special. The brand needs to feel very genuine and personal with a balance of classic and modern, and a bit editorial in style.
