Design & development
Every project is unique to your goals, budget, and timeline —in other words, highly customizable. Here’s the basic process we’ll follow when you work with us...
When you send us an email with your project details, we’ll reply with a short set of questions, and set up a 30 min. phone call to learn more about your project and confirm we’ll be a good fit to work together. After the call, you’ll receive a proposal with the project details for your review; upon your acceptance, we’ll send you a contract for your signature and an invoice for 25-50% of the project fee (these two items are required before we begin work).
You’ll fill out our signature creative questionnaire, telling us in detail about you, your business, and your clients/customers, as well as your vision for the project and your goals.
Identity Research & Development
If you’re doing a branding project with us, we get to work researching your industry and competitors, thinking of ways to set you apart. From here, we create 2-3 distinct mood boards that capture the essence of your brand. Your mood boards will contain items that capture your brand’s personality such as color palettes, typography, rooms, objects, and art.
Concepts & Design
Each design concept is created with your project goals in mind along with establishing the look and feel of your brand. You’ll receive 2-3 concepts for consideration. Once you decide on the concept to move forward with, we’ll fine-tune the design.
Delivery & Implementation
You’ll receive the final, approved version of your design files in all necessary formats, along with one-page visual style guide and your final invoice.
Frequently Asked Questions
+ How much do your services cost?
This changes with every project. First, we talk about your wants, needs and goals. After I have a clear idea of the size and scope of your job, I send you a bid.
+ How long will the creative process take?
Like the cost of a project, this changes for every job as well. In the bid and final contract, I’ll draw up a timeline both of us will follow during our time together.
+ Can you start on my proejct as soon as I contact you?
Sometimes, but not usually. Being a one-woman show allows me to take on only a few projects at a time. Feel free to reach out to me at any point, to get an idea of my availability for the coming months.
+ What are you looking for in a design client?
Place your answer to the question here. Someone who’s passionate about what they do. Someone who’s ready to commit time to the project at hand and trust me to lead us through the process.
+ What steps do you take to get to know me and my brand?
I always like to meet you in person or through video chat before we begin. I also provide a custom questionnaire for you to fill out with a range of personal and business related questions. The creative process is very much a collaboration, so it’s important to get to know each other before we begin and stay in touch during our time together.
